The Rusty Nail - 200ml 40% ABV
The Rusty Nail, created in the roaring 20’s, that’s the 1920’s, this long forgotten cocktail is due a re-birth. Created in a bar in Hawaii according to Diffords and certainly made popular in the 50’s at Club 21 before gaining mass appeal in the 1970’s. I’d say that it’s time for a renaissance! The first batch sold out at a winter market and we’re now offering it online.
We’ve taken the simple recipe (scotch and Drambuie) and given it the Fat Adam’s special treatment: Fat Adam's 9 year-old English whisky, Drambuie, a little bitters and then aged under glass.
Perhaps we should call it an Antique Nail, it’s too smooth to be Rusty!
Serve in an old fashioned glass (or a Hi-Ball if loading the rocks) this ridiculously good cocktail is ultra smooth and also works well as a hot toddy! 1/3 water to product on this one as a hot, almost medicinal drink.
