My take on the classic Old Fashioned has been upgraded and is now built with Fat Adam's Old Chapter Whisky, an organic brown sugar syrup, Buckwud’s Organic Intense Maple Syrup, Orange Bitters and Angostura Bitters.

Best served in a tumbler with a large ice cube and a slice of orange peel, preferably blood orange or blush if you can get it.

Let the ice interact with the cocktail for a few moments before slowly savouring the sweet, sour and bitters combining to make a wonderful drink.

The Old Fashioned has been my Spring, Autumn and Winter go to for as long as I can remember, saving the Summer for Negroni’s.

Over the decades I have made so many variations, that I sometimes forget just what a great cocktail the classic old fashioned is.

My version uses Fat Adam's Old Chapter Whisky. It's a 9 year-old English whisky, aged in Jack Daniels barrels, giving it a sweetness that loses none of the depth of flavour making it really easy tor drink. A perfect base for the Fat Adam's Classic Old Fashioned.
